Brisbane, Australia

Brisbane is situated on the east coast and is Australia's third largest city with a population of 2 million people.
Sprawling along the banks of the winding Brisbane River, and situated between the Great Dividing Range to the west and Moreton Bay to the east, Brisbane has a subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and dry, mild winters.
Humidity is high during the summer months and temperatures can reach as much as 40°C with night temps rarely dropping below 20C. Summer storms with damaging hail, torrential rain and lightning are common in late afternoons on hot, humid days
In winter, Brisbane's climate is usually dry and sunny, with daytime maximum temperatures normally above 20°C. Winters are mild and very pleasant with little rain and sunny skies.
Brisbane averages 245 days of fine and sunny weather each year and has an average annual rainfall of about 1400mm. Most of the rain comes in the period from late spring through early autumn (October through March).
